No Temporary.
No Messy Impressions.
One Appointment.
CEREC is an advanced dental technology that is utilized for restoring decayed, cracked, or chipped teeth. CEREC can create full crowns, implant crowns, inlays/onlays (i.e. partial crowns) and veneers. The most beneficial feature of receiving a CEREC restoration is that it is accomplished in one visit. In addition, there is no messy impression and no temporary to wear.
How It Works:
A CEREC appointment is very simple. The first step is to remove all decay, old filling material and compromised tooth structure. Then a very fine white powder is sprayed over the teeth and a camera will capture a series of 2D images. The computer then stitches the 2D images together to create a 3D model of your mouth. This will allow us to design the restoration right in front of you. The design is then sent wirelessly to our milling unit where your restoration will be milled from a compressed porcelain. This step takes approximately 10-15 minutes. You can actually watch this process if you would like. After the milling and crystallization stage, we will try in and bond your restoration.
